Primer is the first layer of colour applied to the model in order to prepare the surface for subsequent painting processes. Vallejo Primers do not conceal the details of the model and can be applied to various surfaces such as resin, PVC, brass, white metal or wood. In order to ensure excellent adhesion, it is necessary to apply it to a surface that has previously been 'degreased', so it is advisable to wash the model or figure before priming it in order to remove any traces of mould release agents. Primers are applied in successive layers, and dry quickly, forming a homogeneous film of extraordinary hardness and resistance after a few hours from application. They can be used directly or diluted with our Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver. The recommended compressor settings for our colours are around 15 - 20 PSI or 0.5 a 1 kg.
