Satin Aluminium

Metal Color is the innovative range of water-based metallic colours, using aluminium pigments in its formulation. The Metal Color range offers a wide selection of shades in order to reproduce the metallic finish of aircraft of any type and era. With exceptional brilliance and extraordinary reflectance, it allows the modeller to carry out all painting processes without the need to resort to enamels and lacquers. It can be applied directly with an airbrush onto the model, or thinned with our Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver. Metal Color dries very quickly, preserving even the smallest detail present in the model and forming a homogeneous, self-levelling film of extraordinary resistance after a few hours following application. Metal Color can be tinted directly in the airbrush cup using colours from the Model Air or Game Air ranges. It can also be applied by brush. The recommended compressor settings for our colours range from 15 - 20 Psi or 0.5 to 1 kg. It is advisable, in the case of fuselages and components of aircraft models, to apply Gloss Black Primer to enhance the special characteristics of aluminium tones, available in 60 ml/2.02 fl oz bottles (Ref. 73.660) and 200 ml/6.76 fl oz bottles (Ref. 74.660), with flip-top cap and dropper. Metal Color dries very fast, but it is advisable to wait 12 hours after application before proceeding with the masking process. Also available is Gloss Metal Varnish in 60 ml/2.02 fl oz bottles (Ref. 26.657), with flip-top cap and dropper. For correct maintenance of the airbrush we recommend using Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner.

Safety: Always follow the information on the product label. Contains 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one, reaction mass of 5-chloro-2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one and 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (3:1). May produce an allergic reaction.

Available in 32 ml/1.08 fl oz bottles with flip-top cap and dropper. Includes a stainless steel ball to improve mixing.
