Metal Color is the innovative range of water-based metallic colours, using aluminium pigments in its formulation. The Metal Color range offers a wide variety of shades in order to imitate the metallic finish of aircraft of any type and era. With exceptional shine and extraordinary reflective power, it allows the modeller to carry out all painting processes without the need to resort to enamels and lacquers. It can be applied directly with an airbrush over the model, or thinned with our Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver. Metal Color dries very quickly, preserving the finest detail present on the model and forming a homogeneous, self-levelling film of extraordinary resistance a few hours after application. Metal Color can be tinted directly in the airbrush cup using colours from the Model Air or Game Air ranges. It can also be applied with a brush. The recommended compressor settings for our colours are around 15 - 20 Psi or 0.5 to 1 kg. It is advisable, in the case of fuselages and components of aircraft models, to apply Black Gloss Primer to enhance the special characteristics of the aluminium shades, available in 60 ml/2.02 fl oz bottles (Ref. 73.660) and 200 ml/6.76 fl oz bottles (Ref. 74.660), with flip top and dropper. Metal Color dries very fast, but it is advisable to wait 12 hours after application before proceeding with the masking process. Also available is Metal Varnish Gloss in 60 ml/2.02 fl oz bottles (Ref. 26.657), with flip top and dropper. For proper maintenance of the airbrush we recommend using Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner.

Safety: Always follow the information on the product label. Contains 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one, reaction mass of 5-chloro-2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one and 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (3:1). May produce an allergic reaction.
